Ms Messing is taking part in this year’s MS Readathon and hopes to raise at least $250 by reading 20 books. Top of her reading list is The Secret history of Wonderwoman.
“I’ve always wanted to do the readathon and this year I’ve got the time,” she said.
The 30-year-old has been a long-time supporter of MS Australia after her father was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1992.
“My Dad is getting a lot worse and he is looking at selling his business,” Ms Messing said.
The readathon means Ms Messing will have to take a break from her charity crocheting, which she raffled off in another fundraising venture for MS in May.
“There’s going to be less crocheting time, I’m currently making a beanie and scarf for one of the raffle winners,” she said.
