Choral conductor Cathy Welsford said everyone was welcome to come along and learn the basics of playing the ukulele.
“It’s quite hard not to smile while playing ukulele, and you don’t need any special musical knowledge to perform some of the songs we all love,” Ms Welsford said. “But it’s wonderful seeing our players becoming skilled musicians.”
For $25, the group will be running an Adult Beginners Workshop on Saturday, July 18 from 12pm to 2pm at the Old Teachers’ College in Room G42.
“People can then decide whether they’d like to continue with
it and join the group or just enjoy playing their own songs,” Welsford said.
