Neil Clayton was named best and fairest in the over 50s division across all states and territories, while Barry Marshall received the Boggs Cup, which is an award voted for by the players.
Both men were playing for the Northern Territory.
For the masters championships, any player who is not picked for their home state is eligible to be selected by any other state or territory participating.
Both Clayton and Marshall have been playing for NT for a number of years.
“We love representing them,” Clayton said.
“They have got a very small source of players, so without players from other states, they wouldn’t be able to field a side.”
Clayton said he certainly wasn’t expecting to be named the best player in his division for the carnival.
“It was a huge honour,” he said.
“I couldn’t believe it when my name was read out.
“There are a lot of good players in that division.
“It’s something I’ll never forget.”
A number of other local players were in action in Perth.
James Abbo represented the NSW over 40s who finished runners up.
Rick Ambrose suited up for the NSW over 50s in division one, who finished second.
Paul Marquardt wore the South Australian colours in the over 55s in division two and his side came fourth.
Along with Cayton and Marshall, Peter Jackson, Michael Jackson, Frank White and Alan Pringle suited up for NT in the overs 50s and that side also finished fourth.
Peter Henderson also represented NT, but in the over 55s, while Keith Ellis played in the NSW over 70s side that finished second.
