Frizell, 18, is preparing to fight Grafton based Matthew Lambert at the Guyra Town Hall tomorrow night.
Frizell fights under the tutelage of Robbie Porter from Porter Power Boxing who heaped praise on the talented young fighter.
“Lindsay is going really well,” Porter said. “I’ve been taking him to Tamworth and Guyra to spar with professionals.”
Boasting an unblemished record of five wins from as many fights, Frizell heads into tomorrow night’s bout confident, but Porter said it will be a stiff test for his fighter.
“Matthew Lambert is a really good fighter,” he said.
“We will have a fight on our hands.
“This is Lindsay’s biggest fight so far.”
Frizell, who already holds the New England and North Coast titles, comes into the bout on the back of a unanimous decision win over Clinton Skinner in Numbucca in June.
“This one will be a step up but,” Porter said.
“We’re fighting the best now.
“We’re chasing the good fights.”
Following tomorrow night’s fight, Frizell will start preparing for the national titles on November 17 and 18 in Casino.
“Nationals is going to test us,” Porter said.
“There’s no taking a backward step once you get to nationals.”
Seven other Porter Power boxers will also be in action tomorrow night.
