Armidale’s Relay for Life raised more than $37,000 for the cause, with about 920 people taking part in the 20 hour relay walk.
A moving candle light ceremony was held on Saturday evening, including a slideshow tribute of locals who had lost their lives to cancer.
It was followed by a special fireworks display by Guyra’s Father Anthony “Holy Smoke” Koppman.
