The ringers will ring a quarter peal lasting about 45 minutes to mark the occasion.
The stone foundation of the tower was laid in September 1937 but it was not until May 1939 that the tower was dedicated by the Archbishop of Sydney.
Tower Captain Simon McMillan said the ringers only played a quarter peal, which consists of 1200 rows of ringing, on special occasions.
“For the anniversary we are expecting to ring six bells.”
The ringers play patterns rather than tunes, with the aim to play as long as possible without repeating a pattern.
