The Boomerangs have been the benchmark of the rugby league competition in recent years and president and coach Al Widders is expecting no different in the 2022 season.
"A lot of people find it daunting but we will look at it another way; we will know where we are at straight away," he said.
Rumours around signings and departures have circulated but Widders isn't reading too much into it.
"We have heard about a bit of player movement but we not are kidding ourselves.
"We are going to Moree to play Moree. They are going to turn up, especially against Narwan."

"It is only round one," Widders said.
"It doesn't matter what we put on the paddock, or them, we are still going to get up for this game."
