Just after 1:30pm, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to the New England Highway, at Black Mountain, to reports of a serious motor vehicle accident.
Local Ambulance Paramedics and Emergency Services attended the scene and commenced treatment of two children.

The children, aged 10 and 11, were treated on scene for traumatic injuries before being road transported by Ambulance to the Armidale Airport where the Westpac Rescue Helicopter met the Critical Care Medical Team.
Both children were stabilised by the Critical Care Medical Team prior to being flown direct to the John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle in a serious but stable condition.
