Darcy's defence solicitor Tracey Randall asked the court for an unusually long adjournment, but said it would not affect the accused as she was serving a 30-year non-parole prison sentence.

Darcy, 47, did not appear in Tamworth Local Court on two charges of intending to pervert the course of justice last week.

The court heard lawyers from both sides had not been able to meet to discuss issues in the case due to freak weather events.

"My office is located in the CBD of Lismore and our office has been inundated by floods," Ms Randall said.

She asked for the case to go back before the court in June.

"That's the length of time it's going to take to get back on our feet," she said.

After confirming Darcy is set to spend decades behind bars, magistrate Darryl Pearce agreed to the delay.

"I am well aware of the devastation that has occurred in Lismore ... it's dreadful," he said.

Tamworth detectives allege Darcy offered to pay a woman to fabricate evidence in what was, at the time, Darcy's upcoming supreme court murder trial.

Police claim Darcy offered the woman $20,000 in a letter written from prison and then penned a second letter offering further cash.

Police allege both offences were committed in Silverwater in the early hours of the morning, between 2am and 3am, at times when Darcy was in custody, charged with the 2017 murder of her partner in Walcha.

She has not yet entered pleas.
