
A MAN has suffered critical injuries after a car reportedly left the road and rolled three times on a highway north of Tamworth.
A spokesperson from Ambulance NSW told the Leader first responders rushed to the scene of a single-car crash on the New England Highway near Bendemeer just after 11am on Wednesday.

The spokesperson said one man was treated at the scene for head and face injuries and said he was in a critical condition at the time.

Emergency calls for help flooded in and a witness reported that the car had left the highway and rolled over three times, near the highway intersection with Osborne Road.
The spokesperson confirmed the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was also involved in the treatment and transport of the man.
Highway traffic was affected after the crash earlier today and motorists should drive with caution.
