Hunter New England Health officials are urging everyone in these areas to come forward for testing even if they have the mildest of symptoms, so they can identify any unknown cases in the community and reduce transmission.
Fifteen new cases have been diagnosed to 8pm on Thursday night across six LGAs in the health district.

The new cases bring the total number of cases in the District to 4,264 since 5 August 2021.
Of the new cases:
- Four are from Moree Plains LGA, three are from Lake Macquarie LGA, three are from Tamworth LGA, two are from Mid Coast LGA, two are from Newcastle LGA and one is from Armidale LGA.
- Seven were in isolation for their entire infectious period, six were infectious in the community and two are under investigation.
- Twelve cases are linked to known exposures or clusters, one is unlinked and two are under investigation.
NSW has recorded 261 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm.
No deaths were recorded in the reporting period.
