Armidale and Inverell have continued to remain free of new COVID-19 cases in today's update.
However, numbers continue to climb in the Moree Plains local government area with 11 new infections, taking the total of active cases across the shire to 194.
No new cases were reported elsewhere across the region. Inverell currently has 121 active cases while Armidale has 26.
Residents right across the region have been urged to maintain testing rates and seek a swab if symptoms appear.
In the last four weeks up to 8pm, November 21 there were 5347 tests conducted in Inverell LGA, 5247 in Armidale and 6153 in the Moree Plains.
The Hunter New England Health district recorded 30 new cases in the past 24 hours taking the current outbreak to 4176. There are currently 625 active cases across the health region.
Ten of the total active cases are being cared for in hospital and three are in ICU. Twenty-two of the cases are linked, five are unlinked and three are still under investigation. Twelve people were infectious in the community, 15 were isolating while infectious and three are under investigation.
