And now we know what order they will be in.
Among the list are five current councillors, two former ones and a host of new faces for voters to choose from.

On Thursday the ballot draw was held in Armidale, which determines the order candidates are listed on the ballot paper.
There are three groups above the line: The Greens, Labor and the Margaret O'Connor group.
The O'Connor group drew first position, followed by The Greens then Labor.
Debra O'Brien is leading Labor's ticket, while Dorothy Robinson is in the number one spot for The Greens.
Among the ungrouped candidates they will be listed as follows:

Meet the candidates
Business New England will host a 'meet the candidates' forum at the Armidale Golf Club on November 17 where voters will get the opportunity to hear from those standing in the election.
The free event will start at 6pm and allow residents to put questions to candidates in the election.
