Council has implemented an accelerated approval process to further ease the burden and assist residents who have lost their homes or need to undertake significant repairs to damaged properties.
Streets all over the city suffered damage with hail and a tornado flipping cars, slicing through power lines, and trashing scores of homes shortly after 10pm on Thursday, last week.

Council general manager James Roncon said the storm and tornado event has had devastating impacts on many of our residents.
"Council's Development team now has a dedicated pathway for impacted residents to expedite approval to demolish, repair or replace damaged homes and buildings.
"The accelerated process aims to provide affected residents with a streamlined pathway to getting a roof over their head and their lives back on track."
