Armidale Jockey Club welcomed back its third meet for the spring racing season on Thursday and it was the visiting trainers who experienced the most joy.
The Todd Payne-trained Hey Wayne broke his maiden in the Colts, Geldings and Entires Maiden Handicap with Madeline Owen guiding him to the first of her brace for the day.
Jan Bowen took the prizemoney back to Muswellbrook with Lionsteps pipping Diamonds Galore in the mare's race.
The 1300m Maiden Plate was taken out by Brett Dodson's Gobbled.
Joustings continued his run of form for Jacob Perrett's stable, taking out the 1900m Armidale Spring Cup, the favourite beating Scott Singleton's Holy Empress by two-and-a-half lengths.
Owen's second win for the day came aboard Mark Schmetzer's Deploys alone in the 1100m Benchmark 58.
Beat That notched up his second win on-the-trot with the Coffs Harbour gelding securing victory in the 1300m Benchmark 66.
Singleton claimed a win in the final race, the 1400m Class 2 with Chestnut Scaffa beating Inverell trainer Mark Stewart's Wine O'Clock to the line.
