In light of the latest outbreak, Victoria have suspended their regional train network. More than 180 drivers and operational staff have been put into isolation following four positive cases among staff.
Sunday is the last of politician led 'regular' media briefings. Gladys Berejiklian announced on Friday that she and colleague Brad Hazzard will attend the briefings on a 'needs basis' from now on. The briefings will be done by NSW Health.
In other news, one of Australia's Olympians have just finished quarantine following the Tokyo Games. Horse rider Shane Rose had to spend 14 days in quarantine in Germany for biosecurity reasons before undergoing another 14 days in Australia.
Aussie wheelchair tennis champ Dylan Allcott is one match away from achieving a 'golden slam'. If Allcott wins his next match against teenage Dutchman Niels Vink, the Paralympian will become the first man in any form of tennis to win a 'golden slam' of five singles titles, a feat that can only be achieved in an Olympic, Paralympic year.
