Police have confirmed the double stabbing is being treated as a domestic violence-related incident.
The man was found deceased at another location on the outskirts of Inverell, and a crime scene has been established at the home.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
No one is being sought by police, officers have confirmed to the Express.
A woman, believed to be aged in her 20s, remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital after she was stabbed multiple times. Her injuries are understood to be serious but no longer life-threatening.
She was found injured at the Glen Innes Road crime scene this morning and was rushed to Inverell hospital for emergency treatment.
A woman, believed to be aged in her 50s, died from critical stab wounds at the scene.
It's believed all three involved were related.
Police have said investigations into the deaths and the woman's injuries are continuing, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

ONE woman is dead and another is in a serious condition in hospital after a stabbing in the New England this morning.
Police are combing the crime scene on Glen Innes Road, near Moore Street, in Inverell as they try and piece together what's happened.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 2.20am on Wednesday after reports of a stabbing.
Officers found a woman, believed to be aged in her 50s, suffering critical stab wounds.

A second woman suffered serious injuries. She has been rushed to Inverell hospital and is listed in a serious but stable condition, police said.
Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing, and an area has been taped off as investigations continue.
Police are appealing for anyone who might have been in the Glen Innes Road or Moore Street area in the early hours of this morning to come forward, or anyone driving past with dashcam footage to contact New England police.
