The teenager has been charged with aggravated break-and-enter and commit serious indictable offence; obtain a financial advantage by deception; and three counts of dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception.
New England police responded to reports four people had forced entry into a home on Niagara Street, Armidale at 12:45am on March 26.

Police allege the group woke the 82-year-old man inside and demanded his wallet, keys and personal items before they fled the scene in the man's stolen car.
The car was later found at O'Dell Street.
After extensive investigations, detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Erskine Street about 1:45pm on Wednesday.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested and taken to Armidale Police Staton where he was charged.
He was refused bail to appear before Armidale Children's Court.
Investigations continue into aggravated break and enters in the Armidale area after Strike Force Sowing was established in April 2021.
