Robyn Ogilvy, aged 62, had been last seen at her home on Marsh Street, Armidale, on Friday and had not been seen or heard from until she was found yesterday evening.

A member of Armidale Police confirmed she had been found and said she was physically well.

This is not the first time Ms Ogilvy, who is the sister-in-law of former New England MP Richard Torbay, has been reported missing to the police.

In October 2005 Ms Ogilvy vanished without trace while on a shopping trip in Melbourne after having written to her mother asking her to look after her dog and sell her home.

It was subsequently reported by the Sydney Morning Herald that after the shopping spree Ms Ogilvy's mobile phone went dead, her credit cards were never used and her bank accounts were not accessed. Nor did she seek to use Medicare or private health insurance nor apply for social security.

After a number of sightings over a two year period she was eventually found in Adelaide and treated for "dissociative identity amnesia" a condition which can result in the loss of memory of certain time periods, events, people and personal information.

Police are appealing for public help to find a missing woman from Armidale.

Robyn Ogilvy, aged 62, was last seen at her home on Marsh Street, Armidale, on Friday and has not been seen or heard from since.

Police were alerted to the disappearance and said Ms Ogilvey could be travelling in a silver 2009 BMW with NSW registration BIL25Z.

Officers said she is known to frequent the Tamworth, Sawtell, Woolgoolga and Bellingen areas.

New England police made a public appeal to find Ms Ogilvy on Monday afternoon and serious concerns for her welfare due to a medical condition.

Robyn is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160 to 165cm tall with a medium build. She has blonde hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who sees Robyn, or has information about her whereabouts, is urged to call Armidale Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
