I hadn't until last week, when we learned that a local cafe had embraced the day, and its owner spoke to our journo about what happened locally.
Era Espresso owner Ali Nadmini says he often surprises his regular customers or those in need with a free coffee. Still, on Wednesday, this was done on a much larger scale, thanks to his bean supplier, who gave him 100 coffee vouchers to hand out.
It was one of the good news stories from last week, which also included another look behind the scenes of the new Armidale Secondary College, and the announcement that two local women are finalists for the NSW Women of the Year Awards.
Of course the good news came in a week that Facebook shut down our Facebook page, which means emails like this one are now even more important to help you see our news stories.
