Crews quickly ran to the scene to help both drivers involved in the collision at the intersection of Church and Bourke streets near the Glen Innes Fire Station.
One of the drivers needed first-aid treatment from firefighters until police and paramedics arrived on the scene.

The driver was taken to Glen Innes District Hospital, their condition is unknown.
Police took the driver of the second vehicle back to the station for further questioning.
Emergency mission after head-on crash
A woman was flown to hospital after a serious head-on crash on Tuesday afternoon.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the Golden Highway, about 10km south of Merriwa after reports a person was trapped.
It's believed the car and truck collided shortly before 2pm.
The 22-year-old woman was trapped for "a considerable amount of time" before she was freed by rescue crews. She suffered multiple injuries and was flown to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition. The truck driver was not injured.
