A 20-year-old man reported missing from the Copeton Dam area has been found.

Police would like to thank the public for assistance in this matter.
Acting Inverell Officer-in-Charge, Cameron Paine, said Michael Long was found in the area around Copeton Waters State Park at about 1.50pm on Saturday, where he was taken to hospital for treatment.
Acting Inspector Paine said police conducted a large-scale search for the young man, and family members helped too.
He said it was a cooperative effort between NSW Police using trail bikes and boats, alongside the SES, the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association, the RFS, and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

Michael Long, aged 20, was last seen by family members at a campsite in a holiday park at Copeton Dam, about 10pm on Thursday, January 7.
He was reported missing to officers from New England Police District on Friday, January 8.
Michael Long is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 175cm tall, of medium build, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black hoodie and grey track pants.
