Hundreds of racegoers turned out for the highly-anticipated first meeting back after drought saw meetings between September 2019 and March 1, 2020 transferred from the Armidale Racecourse to other tracks around the region.
The racecourse was a picture and the track a Soft 6 with a warm, sunny day greeting punters.
The $60,000 Cup event was won by Scone based-Concessions but locals did cheer home Armidale horses in the earlier race with Stirling Osland's Heaven's High storming home in front of William Wain's Cocky Rocky in the 1100m handicap.
