Armidale's athletics success continued at a state level carnival with a team of 13 making the trip to Sydney for the NSW All Schools championships at the beginning of the month.

Two medals returned with the team, Emerson Fittler claiming a double bronze.
Fittler claimed the podium place in his 400 metre and 200 metre events, as well as picking up personal bests in both events.
While Fittler was the only athlete who medalled, a host of others qualified for the finals in their events across four days of competition.
Caleb Bettison soared across multiple races. He finished with a fourth place in the 15 years boys' 2000m steeplechase, missing out on the bronze medal by less than half a second but earned a qualifying time for nationals. On the second day of the event, he finished 9th in the final of the 3000m. Then on day three, Bettison hit the track again to earn another finals qualification in the 1500m.
Jordan Pattison ran his best 800m in the 15 years boys' to qualify for the final and finished sixth overall.
Layla Cooper also made a final, in the 13 years' girls 200m. She finished sixth overall. She also made the final in the 400m final but didn't start.
Battling injury, Sienna Dellow managed to qualify for the 200m 14 years girls' final but didn't take her place.
In her final All Schools, Amelia Mazzei ran in the 16 to 19 years' para 100m final and 200m. She finished fifth in both and managed qualifying times for nationals.
Ashley Haydon ran in the 1500m 14 years girls' final to finish 17th.
Other athletes who were part of the Armidale contingent to compete at the state event but just fell short of finals finishes included: Tom Bible, Brooke Stainton, Brooke Newberry, Taju Tijani, Andre Cooper and Skye Vaughan.
