The Division 1 decider will see two former Northern Inland Premier League clubs go head-to-head for the trophy.
The Scorpions' Yellow side have dominated the competition with 10 wins, one draw, to their grand final opponents, and just one loss to fellow club side South Armidale Green.
DK have only had the one loss this season, in round one to the Scorpions side, but have split the points with opposition teams four times.
Their biggest margins came in rounds six and seven - with a five goal differential - but all DK's other wins have come by two goals or less.
South Armidale Yellow coach Josh Fern admitted his early-season predictions didn't feature DK but he is expecting a tough and experienced outfit.
"They had a pretty slow start and, to be quite honest, they weren't really on my radar at all," he said.
"I would have thought we would have been playing Norths, Wests or the Ezidis but they have hit their straps at the right time and they aren't going to be easy beats either.
"It is a different game throughout the year but as soon as you play a grand final, anything can happen so we still have to be right on our game."
The Scorpions made their way into the decider after beating South Armidale Green, the only side they lost to during the regular season, in a hard-fought battle 3-1.

Fern said it was one of the best games he has seen all year.
"Taking nothing away from the Ezidis, they were a really tough side to beat and they gave us a really good run for our money," he said.
"If we bring that same intensity, that same passion and that same level of skill we showed on Saturday night, I think we are a really tough side to beat."
Although the Scorpions took the win in the opening round against DK, they shared the spoils the next time they met with a late goal to South Armidale ensuring the draw.
DK coach Evan Quaife said his side were "disappointed" with that result and are hoping to avenge it, and more, when they hit the Belleuve Oval pitch on Saturday.
"I think we will be particularly hungry on the day, keen to make up for when we probably should have beaten them in the second round and got away with the draw," he said.
Quaife believes the advantage his side has heading into the big dance is their ability to score from anywhere.
"We are a fairly experienced team, and most of the players have scored goals this year so we are not relying on one or two players to goals, we have six or seven who get goals," he said.
"It is really who takes their chances on the day and I expect whoever is up for it mentally the most; the hungrier team will probably get the result.
"I am just expecting we will put in a really good performance and it won't surprise me if we get the win but it is grand final, either team can win the game."
South Armidale have a handful of minor injuries but Fern said they have plenty of depth to cover those while Quaife's side head in at full-strength with players rested in recent weeks.
Quaife also applauded the new Sport UNE competition and said it has been "fairly even" and "enjoyable."
