The government will spend $365,500 to replace Paddys Flat Road (North) Bridge and $350,000 for Paddys Flat Road (South) Bridge in the Tenterfield Shire.
A further $375,000 will fund replacement of the Martins Gully-Shambrook Ave Bridge in the Armidale Regional Council area and $472,500 will go toward the Yarrow Creek Bridge - Mt Mitchell Rd near Glen Innes.
After Mr Joyce used a red ribbon and scissors to conduct the unofficial opening, a video of it was posted on Mr Joyce's Facebook page.
In the video Mr Joyce said he was opening the bridge to help out the state government, so they "didn't have to worry about it".
When state MP Janelle Saffin complained that Mr Joyce had held his own 'opening' in state parliament, Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall interjected calling out "Barnaby is a goose".
