I mention that today because there was one story last week that a lot of people clicked on.
The owner of the original business, Greg Hannon, was there to offically open it. Maybe it's the nostalgia that gets our attention!
Regardless, it's great to see news that brightens our day, because news does not always do that unfortunately.
There are two major stories that continue to affect our community: our council and the university.
While administrator Viv May said he had seen no evidence of corruption at Armidale Regional Council, the administrator did say millions of dollars had been wasted.
This was no surprise to former mayor Simon Murray.
Mr Murray said he and former CEO Susan Law were surprised there was not more interest shown by councillors last December meeting, when he said the wasted millions was revealed.
Maybe it was the unusual circumstances. The power went out during the meeting held in Guyra as it was conducted by torchlight.
Work is continuing to find a new general manager at the council. Mr May said it was critical to get a good general manager, because that person is the glue that holds it all together.
As the university looks to slash its annual wage bill by $20 million, it had called for voluntary redundancies and on Thursday started a 20-day consultation period with staff to discuss what the organisation will look like after the cuts.
But last week the workplace conflict escalated at UNE when the National Tertiary Education Union lodged notice of an industrial dispute with management of the university.
We will continue to monitor the situation.
