That number was quickly reached, and the 30 participants will attend a 90-minute workshop next week to discuss what they expect from the next general manager.
Mr May will chair next week's meeting, and his only requirement for people to be involved was they could not have served as a councillor previously.

"The focus will be on the future and we will not be dwelling on the past," Mr May said.
The manager of Local Government NSW, Mark Anderson, will be at the meeting to join the informal discussion.
He said it was an opportunity for residents to share thoughts so that the selection committee could use those insights in the selection process.
