The Armidale School's XI and Armidale City Westside will go head-to-head for round three of the competition.
After starting with a convincing win against East Armidale in round one, Westside were pipped 2-1 by the highly-fancied South Armidale yellow team on Saturday.
Coach Anthony Gray said although "it wasn't a blowout" they were "still disappointed" by the loss.
They hope to rebound this Saturday against a predicted strong TAS team.
"We saw their first round draw with Inverell and thought that was interesting and then they turn that around and back it up against DK," he said.
"It is really but of an unknown of what they are going to turn up and do.
"They are always strong, TAS always bring players through that are competitive."
In a positive boost for Westside, they will be able to turn up with much of the same team who played Souths.
"We took a few knocks and bumps on the weekend, that is expected, all in the name of the game," Gray said.

The school-based team played most of their recent 2-all draw against Demon Knights with 10 players on the field.
TAS coach Richard Newton was "very pleased" with how they performed.
"They definitely stuck to the plan and played with a lot of maturity, I thought," he said.
"Particularly, as we pre-empted ,with what has been a Premier League team, we didn't know how we would match up but we played with 10 men for 80 minutes and held them out and were two goals up with 20 to go."
They're expected to be without the sent-off player but welcome back two students who were unavailable against DK with representative athletics commitments.
"We get both of those guys back this weekend so that obviously gives us a bit of speed around the place but we weren't lacking that last weekend anyway," Newton said.
"I am guessing Westside is a different composition of players this year and it will be interesting again what the comparison is."
