A MAN has been rushed to hospital after a car crash on the New England Highway on Tuesday afternoon.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the crash near Kentucky Road, south of Uralla, after midday.
A Live Traffic NSW alert said traffic on the New England Highway is affected in both directions.
Authorities confirmed a 60-year-old man was treated by paramedics at the scene for a head injury.

An ambulance took the man to Armidale Hospital for further treatment.
It is understood he was in a stable condition.
The New England Highway crash only involved one car and it is understood the 60-year-old man was the only patient taken to hospital.
An alert from Live Traffic NSW said traffic on the stretch of New England Highway south of Uralla is affected in both directions, and emergency services remain on the scene.
Live Traffic NSW urged people driving in the area to be cautious and reduce their speed.
