A winter wonderland formed briefly in elevated parts of the wider region, as snow flakes fell in places like Ben Lomond, and in between Walcha and Uralla on Monday and Tuesday.
There were also reports of a dusting of snow at Barrington Tops on Tuesday morning.
Ben Lomond, which is between Guyra and Glen Innes in the Northern Tablelands, had some large flakes fall on Monday night, creating a coating of white.

Cold conditions in parts of the region are expected to continue on Tuesday, and more snow could fall in those higher areas.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) predicted a chance of snow for the Northern Tablelands, in places more than 1100 metres above sea level and with moisture in the air.
Live Traffic NSW have issued an alert for traffic to be careful when travelling between Guyra and Glen Innes on the New England Highway, because of alpine and icy conditions near Ben Lomond.
