"We're in for a lovely wet weekend across so much of NSW," meteorologist Helen Reid said late last week.
"We are expecting a cold front to move slowly across the state with sufficient moisture in it to bring lovely rainfall to wide areas."

The region can expect anywhere up to 15mm of rain on Sunday before temperatures dip on Monday and Tuesday, bringing with it the chance of snow to some parts.
Armidale is predicted to reach a maximum of 10 on Monday and 7 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, there is a chance of snow in Walcha and Guyra, as well as areas surrounding those towns.
The snow is predicted for Monday and Tuesday with the latter looking like the most likely time to see some powder.
