The Bureau of Meteorology's MetEye website is predicting snow to fall on Tuesday morning in parts of the region.
Walcha appears to be the most likely spot to see snow with a low of -1 degree and a high of just six on Tuesday while there's a chance Hanging Rock could also get a dusting.
There's a chance of snow between 7am and 10am in both spots with BoM predicting possible morning snow flurries down to 1100 metres in Walcha.
Hanging Rock is expected to reach eight degrees and will drop as low as two degrees on Tuesday.
Nearby, Barrington Tops is also a chance to see some snow with a low of -1 degree and a high of two degrees predicted.

BoM meteorologist Alex Majchowski said the potential snow was a result of a cold front moving over NSW.
"We're forecasting snow down to 800 metres through the Snowy Mountains and Central Tablelands as a result of this cold front making its way across the state," he said.
"Most of the snowfall is expected this evening and overnight into tomorrow morning.
"We can also expect flurries of snow in the North West Slops and the Northern Tablelands down to 1100 metres. However, it is not expected to settle as the air mass will be quite dry by the time it makes its way north."
It will be chilly right across the New England North West on Tuesday with frosts predicted in parts.
Places like Glen Innes, Armidale and Barraba will wake up to a frosty landscape as temperatures plummet into the negative in some areas.
Temperatures are then set to increase slightly heading into the weekend.
