My motherland is China. I love her so much, but in order to learn different cultures and knowledge I had to leave her for a while.
I feel a little sorrow, but whales need to swim deep into the ocean when they grow up, and I need to broaden my horizon as I grow up. A full life requires the exploration of a colourful world. So I came to Australia.
When I came to the English Language Centre, I met the best teachers I've ever known who are Sophie and Denise.
Why do I say that? Because they care about your life and your emotions. They care about how you feel and what you want.
They even celebrate your birthday. They make me feel like family.
You might think that is a little bit exaggerated, but you know what, in China whatever school you are in, a Chinese teacher will just care about your grades, and how many points you got.
They can never see more than one aspect of students because there are too many people in one class in China. The teacher cannot care about so many things about so many students, it is not their fault.
I live in Wright village in a six person flat. My roommates are all Australians, and my English is very bad, so maybe sometimes I will feel a little bit lonely.
Just now I have a friend coming to UNE. We want to live together but don't know how.
At this time Lesley appeared. It is really timely. She helped me to send a email to solve this problem. I can't thank her enough. I won't go into the details. You just need to know she is very patient and very friendly.
As everyone knows, Australia have many kind of animals and I also saw a lot on campus.
I am a little afraid of animals but at the same time I also like animals, that is a bit of a contradiction.
Koalas, parrots, magpies, and a group of kangaroos accompany me on my way to school every day. These animals are only seen in zoos in China, but now I have a magpie that wakes me up every day, can you imagine? It is amazing!
