A superb bowling performance by Simon Stubbs inspired his side to a victory.
City won the toss and batted first with Ash Clee rocketing out of the blocks with nine fours and four sixes on his way to 64 before he was dismissed in the 12th over.
The competition's leading run-scorer, Kyle Taylor, recorded 32 before he departed and that set off a series of wickets for City.
Andy Sawyer and captain Karl Triebe came to the crease and combined for 40 and 29 respectively to push their side past 200.
"We scored 209 which we felt wasn't quite enough runs at TAS," Triebe said.
"Ash just got us off to an absolute flyer and then we had a middle order collapse.
"Andy and myself got us closer to the 200-mark and then we had a bit of a collapse at the end."
Although Triebe didn't feel 209 was enough, Stubbs had other ideas.
He claimed the scalp of Easts opener Sam Hutton leg-before-wicket for a duck and then Triebe sent Ian Ranger back to the sheds for five.
Stubbs then took the wicket of big-hitter Clarrie Moran for a duck.
The rest of the Easts batsmen tumbled.
Bar Cody Graham's 40 and Lochie Elks' 40 not out, the Easts batsmen failed to post a large total with five ducks across the innings.
Stubbs finished with 4-49, Arran Kenna managed 2-32, Triebe 3-25 and Andrew Skinner 1-6.
"He [Stubbs] bowled his nine overs straight and opened the bowling, bowling off-spin and got four wickets," Triebe said.
"They have got a pretty strong batting line-up so it was a good effort from the bowlers this week.
"And fielding, I don't think we put a single catch down, that has been our downfall in the last few weeks, out fielding was up to standard.
"Patty took a good catch early on, Arran got a screamer of a caught and bowled and Kyle two behind the stumps, one of them was Clash for a duck so that was a big wicket.
"That was the moment that really spurred everyone on to put in to keep going.
"We knew that was the big wicket."
