Cancer Council's community relations co-ordinator and Tracey Cullen said the show included 10 local acts with a mix of personalities and ages.
"So local people who have put their hands up, young and old, quite a mix of personalities and ages," she said.
"When we put the tickets out there they sold within a month, so we're really pleased with the response and we were asked to do a second show.

"Although the second show is the preview, it will be held the night before."
The preview will be held on Thursday, November 28. Tickets are available at the door from 6.30pm, doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start, while the main event will be held on Friday, November 29. Doors open at 6pm for a 6.45pm start.
"This year, we have contestants from their early-20's to over-60's," Tracey said.
The show's oldest contestant, 64-year-old Steve Widders is blind, but will tread the boards again for the second time, having participated in the event back in 2013.
"I was a bit younger then and not as much arthritis," he said with a chuckle.
"I've got a good partner with Jenny Wilde. She was my partner in the first one. She's a good instructor who gets me 'round all right."
Steve said he entered not only because of the fundraising, which was important too, but because he was significantly touched by cancer.
"It's close to my heart. I lost a brother to cancer last year and a sister this year," he said.
"I've also lost two other brothers, and I've got two sisters, Linda and Leonie, who are survivors and will be there on the night."
