The two artists met when they were students of the 2018 senior class of the CMAA Academy of Country Music, and they're now hitting the road together nearly two years later for gigs in Armidale and Tamworth this week.
Audiences will be asking why it didn't happen sooner once they see the diversity these two performers bring to the stage with Kim sitting squarely in traditional country music and honky tonk, while Aaron's country styling is more contemporary mixed with rock and pop favourites.

Both artists have enjoyed iTunes top five and radio chart success, with their original songs released over the past two years, and will be playing all their originals for the music lovers of the New England North West region.
"I love performing for the audiences (in Tamworth), and I haven't performed in Armidale before, so I'm looking forward to introducing them to my music," Aaron said.
"I'm most excited to do these gigs with Kim because I respect him as an artist and he's also a good friend, so it's great to be able to hit the road with him."
Kim said he was always keen to get his music out to new audiences.
"Any opportunity to get my songs heard is a good opportunity," he said.
"I'd love to play Armidale more often on my way to Tamworth in future."
The two artists and friends haven't seen each other in nearly two years, with Kim living near Ipswich and Aaron at Lake Macquarie, and their mix of music is sure to appeal to audience members of all ages.
"Between us we show there is such a dynamic in country music," Aaron said.
Aaron and Kim will perform their own sets as well as teaming up on stage when they play Armidale Servies on Saturday.
