Organiser Rachel Swanson said it's been a number of years since the group has held a golf fundraiser event and is hoping the community get behind it.
"They were [popular] but we thought we would change direction; we have got the high tea, that is what we replaced the golf day with, and then there is also the ball which is August," she said.
"We thought we would bring the golf day back again and see how it goes.
They will hold a 9-hole, four person ambrose on from 1.30pm on Friday, November 15 and Swanson is hoping people will jump on board and support the event.
"A maximum we can have is 144 people which is 36 teams," she said.
"It is an ambrose so I have been saying to people they only need one good player in each team and they will be right. It is fairly social, that is the plan. I am hoping people might use it as their Christmas party."
The cost is $200 per team which includes green fees and a barbeque. To register visit trybooking.com/bfori
