Mazzei will join more than 1000 of the world's best athletes with an intellectual impairment at the INAS Global Games in Brisbane from this Saturday.
The sixteen-year-old will compete in the 100 metre, 400 metre and relay events at the Games after qualifying through her outstanding performances in state-level and national events this year.
Her mum, Ariana, said it is a huge step up for the young gun.
"Milly has no idea of the competition she is up against at the INAS Global Games, as this year will be her debut to the whole world," Ariane said.
"She competed for Australia in a different team, in June this year at the Oceania Championships, however the competition was from the Island countries within the Pacific Region.
"The INAS Global Games has over 50 countries competing from all over the world."
It is a deserved start for the Armidale Athletics club member who has dedicated much of her spare time to training and competing.
For four days a week, she builds up her speed and endurance on the track, two days a week feature gym sessions and three days will see her do a core workout.
The INAS Global Games are an important event in the build up to the Paralympic Games to be held next year in Tokyo.
Many athletes who have made their major international debut at the Global Games have gone on to win Paralympic titles.
