A lifetime spent with children qualifies me to really appreciate the very high standard of the playground equipment installed, recently, by Uralla Shire Council and contractors in Alma Park, Uralla.

Nursing training at a children's hospital, then midwifery, then as a mother of seven, grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of two, I have visited so many parks and used so much playground equipment throughout NSW, Victoria and Queensland.
From 1988 to 2002 I was a councillor of Severn Shire Council, Glen Innes, so I am delighted that the government has got it right. Right, because they spent money on our little Australians.
I strongly believed that more should be done for children and young Australians and less should be done for the elderley, with whom I am classified, because opportunities abound in our great Australia and if people have not made a reasonably productive and happy life, by their 50s, it is very unlikely they ever will.
While on council, had some interesting discussions, proving the importance of young Australians, who are the future of this country.
Sincere congratulations to Adam Marshall, Member for Northern Tablelands, NSW Government, Uralla Shire Council and contractors on your combined efforts in caring for our little people. Caring for them by erecting the best playground equipment I have seen and used in the eastern states of Australia.
