The Bundarra Men's Shed will receive $3000 to undertake improvements to the Workshop at the Vocational and Education Training Centre, and also correct some existing WH&S issues and structural improvements to the venue. The building is a community owned asset run by the men's shed.
Bundarra Men's Shed's partnership with Bundarra Central School aims to develop and enhance the value of the school's workshops, and Mayor Michael Pearce considered it to be a great asset to the community.
"Especially in these times of drought, it is so important for the community to have a place to come together," he said.
The enhanced facilities will allow the men's shed to run health and well-being programs, as well as to provide professional assistance for the community. It also has plans to implement mentoring programs for children and provide community fundraising opportunities.

The second application saw the Council on the Ageing NSW will receive $3000 to train local exercise professionals to implement a sustainable exercise program for the ageing in Uralla.
The program will use local people to support, promote and implement a sustainable program for ongoing classes to improve strength and balance for our aged population in the future. The aim is to increase independence for the aged population.
"This program will enhance the health and well-being of the aged portion of the Uralla Shire community," Cr Pearce said.
"Council supports programs that encourage activity and social interaction, which is a benefit not only to the participants but to their friends, family, and community.
"Ultimately, the benefit ripples outwards and is a good thing for all of us across our Shire."
The training program is scheduled for February 2020.
Council congratulated the successful applicants and looked forward to their continued work and the benefits that they bring to the Uralla Shire.
