Armidale's Farmer's Markets, being run in Curtis Park on the first and third Sundays of each month is about to change, but for regular market-goers, there may be little noticeable difference, to begin with.

The committee managing the market is about to change, with Armidale's Rotary AM taking over the reins on November 3.
Rotary AM president Sam Doyle said Armidale Regional Council had called for expressions of interest to operate the markets during July.
"We put in an expression of interest to operate it and that was awarded to us," Mr Doyle said.
"People will continue to find some great local produce. We're impassioned about being part of the community and supporting its growth, especially in times of drought.
"So, there will certainly still be local producers who will be coming to promote what they do."
Mayor Simon Murray said two high quality submissions were received when the operating license has expired.
"The selection panel was particularly impressed by the Rotary Club's ideas to grow and enhances the markets," he said.

"Council places a lot of emphasis on activities such as Farmers Markets because they provide a great opportunity for the community to purchase home-grown local produce, as well as a place to meet and socialise.
Mr Doyle said regular market attendees would no doubt notice the new faces managing the event.
"You can expect some live music, some fun and a community atmosphere," he said.
"Something that really showcases to the Armidale and broader community just what our producers have to offer.
"That's what we are about, making sure our producers get an opportunity to go down there and make their living, but also with some great coffee, some great food and local community spirit."
Mr Doyle said there were long-term plans to expand Armidale Farmer's Markets.
"We got plans to try some new ideas, try some new concepts and they will eventuate over time," he said.
"Our goal is to work with the current stall-holders and community, to see what works and what they might want to see improved.
"With the new management comes positive changes hopefully. But our goal is making sure everyone gets a say in what happens. It's not just us saying what will happen. It needs to continue the community-feel of the markets into the new age."
