One of the helicopters operating with the RFS fighting the Bees Nest Fires out of Ebor Base 1 is called Lucy, and she stands out from the crowd because she was painted pink.

Lucy comes from Armidale's Fleet Helicopters owned by Lockey Onslow who decided to paint her that distinctive colour and donate a portion of income to the NSW Cancer Council.
While refuelling, Lucy's pilot James Rainger said the contributions were a little unique.
"I think Lucy is quite special. She helps us fight the fires and look after the community," he said.
