They put the pressure on a young and tenacious Northies outfit early and it paid off.
It took just 12 minutes for the Redmen to post the first goal with Harrison George belting a screamer into the top left-hand corner of the net.
Northies repelled raid after raid at their end of the field but the Redmen managed to increase their lead to 2-nil when the visiting goalkeeper fumbled.
Norths kept their 2-nil lead at half-time and the second stanza saw a more rejuvenated North Companions come out of the sheds at Bellevue Oval.
But the Redmen's rout continued and their defence kept North Companions quiet before Elijah Barnes sealed the 3-nil win with a goal of his own.
The Redmen will head to Scully Park next Saturday to face reigning premiers Tamworth FC in the first grade grand final.
"I think we just played a good, solid game today [Saturday]," Norths United coach John Edmunds said.
"We enjoyed it a bit more. The boys play a lot better when they are enjoying their football and they went out there to enjoy it.
"Took a couple chances and that was good [so it was] a good solid hit out for us."
With North Companions' attack kept quiet, Edmunds was also complimentary of the work his backs got through.
"The defence worked well, we were solid there, a clean sheet so that is good," he said.
It was a good day all-round for Norths United with their reserve grade team defeating Tamworth FC 3-1.
"We were riding on our second grade's great performance," Edmunds said.
"FC put in a couple of players in their second grade but we performed well there so a good day for us."
"Ready for next week."
