Tomorrow the Tamworth Pirates first grade team will play the Walcha Rams on their home turf, and the community intends to leave no doubt in the visitors' minds who Walcha is barracking for.
Even the Federal MP for New England (and former Walcha Ram ) has been affected - Barnaby Joyce posted a video of himself wearing a Walcha Rams' beanie on Facebook earlier today, bemoaning the fact he is stuck at a conference in Canberra and can't get to tomorrow's game.
"I wish I was in Walcha to see the Rams, but I'm stuck at a conference in Canberra, so I'll follow it on my phone while they're boring the crap out of me," he said.
Local government isn't immune either with Walcha Council posting a photo on Facebook of its entire administration workforce standing outside the council chambers dressed in red and white.
Every business has its window dressed in red and white, and at St Patrick's Primary School the usual Friday sports uniform was ditched in favour of red and white gear.
Go the Rams!!!
