They started out in Little Athletics.
The Armidale Little Athletics club is gearing up to begin their 2019-2020 season and will host a series of come and try days to get started.
The girls have also been able to develop their resilience and the importance of trying their best and having fun, even when they don't win.

For the next three Wednesdays - September 11, September 18 and September 25 - the club will be holding events to encourage parents and kids to try out the sport, whether they aspire to success or for the enjoyment and fitness factors.
Kate McCulloch has two daughters who love turning up to Little Athletics throughout the summer months and encouraged everyone to come along and have a go.
"It's a great way to keep active, learn new skills and meet new friends," she said.
"The girls enjoy developing their skills and competing with their friends and trying to get better each week. The girls have also been able to develop their resilience and the importance of trying their best and having fun, even when they don't win."
