"It's a pretty interesting time, in terms of economics, to say the least," Mr Fox said.
"You have the trade war going on between Australia and China, and we are concerned about.
"He's made comments in recent times about infrastructure. How not just Australian governments should be shovel ready for various projects they have, so if the economy does dampen they have got things they can go ahead with."
Mr Fox said Dr Lowe had spoken about unemployment in the past, and hoped he would speak about rural economies because businesses were being affected by the drought as well as farmers.

"It is important for Armidale to have someone of his standing to come and speak," he said.
"We don't normally get people like this.
"I am no economist, but it seems to me that it is important that we do move forward with growth, despite the fact that we are in drought which is limiting what can be done."
Mr Fox said agreed it would be good for Dr Lowe to provide some perspective about how we related to the bigger picture.
"It would be very handy because we're remote from the cities and at times I think you can feel a little left out," he said.
"I don't know what he is going to talk about, but if he was to meld in that whole scenario with regional economies, that would be a very interesting talk."
