Daniel James Singh was refused bail in an out-of-sessions bail hearing in Armidale Local Court on Sunday. He again fronted the same court on Monday but made no new application for release.
The 36-year-old faces charges of supplying methylamphetamine, possessing drugs and dealing with the suspected proceeds of crime.
Police claim Singh had two resealable bags, containing what they allege is ice, and another white powder, on him when he was intercepted in Uralla on Saturday night.

New England highway officers stopped a car on Park Street about 9.50pm after it caught the eye of officers for a suspected traffic offence.
Officers questioned the woman behind the wheel, as well as a backseat passenger, who they said wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
Police claim Singh was acting suspiciously and they had cause to search him.
They will allege he was concealing 6.56g of crystallised methylamphetamine, and 3.32g of another white powder, as well as drug paraphernalia.
He was arrested, taken to Armidale Police Station and charged.
The drugs have been seized for forensic analysis.
