The Armidale Rams might be favourites heading into the Group 19 league tag decider but coach Jess Smith believes it would be foolhardy to write their grand final opponents off.

The Rams take on Glen Innes, who were sitting second from the bottom of the table at the halfway point of the season.
They've since made their way up the table and knocked off the Moree Boomerangs and minor premiers Moree Boars on their way to qualifying for the grand final.
Coupled with the fact the Magpies have played in the last two deciders, Smith said her side should be wary.
"I don't think anyone should underestimate Glen, they did get over us last time we met," she said.
"They have come a long way from the beginning of the season, and put their experience together with the home ground advantage, it will certainly be a tough battle.

"In saying that, our girls are hungry and prepared and ready to take it on head on.
"I have a lot of confidence that they will rise to the challenge and play to the best of their ability."
A team from the Rams club hasn't been in a grand final since the under-18s were runners-up in 2016, and they haven't won a trophy since reserve grade took out the title in 2013.
"Smith said the team and the club are looking forward to Sunday's match at Mead Park in Glen.
"The girls are feeling really good, excited and ready to play," she said.
"It has been a long time coming for a lot of these players and this opportunity means everything to them.
"Having a Rams team representing on grand final day is exciting and a huge morale booster for the club and its supporters."
The Rams have one last chance to put the finishing touches on their game plan before the grand final.
"They have been training really well, preparing the best we can," Smith said.
"We have our final run on Friday night where we will bring all our plans together and then hopefully execute them well enough on Sunday to secure the win for the team and the club."
