The Rams girls experienced a late season slump but re-captured their winning ways in their last start against the Moree Boomerangs where they delivered a 52-nil drubbing.
This Sunday they will head to Glen Innes to face minor premiers Moree Boars for the major semi-final with the first spot in the grand final up for grabs.
Armidale coach Jess Smith said the side is raring to take the field.
"The team is feeling really positive and excited heading into the semis," she said.
"The convincing win in their last game really helped do restore their confidence and it has showed in their attitude at training the last couple of weeks."
If they win, their spot in the decider is secured and Smith said it would be deserved after a turbulent season of sorts.
"It would mean everything to them to win and go so straight through," she said.
"Their season has been up and down and they faced some hurdles midway through it, but the way they have been able to overcome it all, and used it to strengthen their resolve and drive has been impressive."
The Boars have taken the wins in the last two fixtures winning 20-8 in their most recent match and 20-4 earlier in the year.
Despite the recent results, Smith said the squad aren't deterred but more resolute in getting over the line to that decider spot.
"I would say that it's provided them with even more focus and determination to get the result we want on Sunday," she said.
"The biggest thing I will be looking for is their discipline and the way they approach the game mentally - keeping their cool and remaining focused for the full game."
The Rams are expected to be as close to full-strength as possible for the match.
The league tag will be the first of four matches to be played at Mead Park in Glen Innes on Sunday.
The match begins at 10.30am before the under-18 clash between the Moree Boomerangs and Glen Innes Magpies.
The reserve grade fixture between the Moree Boomerangs and Narwan Eels will follow the under-18s before the A-grade match between the Magpies and Boomerangs to round out the day.
The winner of the A-grade encounter will host the 2019 Group 19 first division grand final day.
